The Vancouver Public Library has been getting a ton of Les Blank documentaries so this past week I’ve been digging into a few of them. This one is about Tex-Mex music and the people and the music on both sides of the border. And because Les Blank loves food (see Garlic is as Good as Ten Mothers or Werner Herzog Eats his Shoe), there’s also a lot of great food scenes. You’ll be craving a taco after this and you’ll certainly have your fill of all those sad Mexican songs (especially with all the wah wah wah crying in the background).
